We state below which couriers we use with what kind of product; however, we reserve the right to use any courier we please without notifying you. Once orders have been placed we aim to send out the product within 24-48 hours depending on the weight and size. However, if you have any changes to your order this may delay the shipping process.

Tracking

All of our products are sent with a tracking number. It is important to note that not all of these tracking numbers enable you to track the parcel at every stage. Some may only allow you to see the progress of your order periodically.

Combining Multiple Orders

Please note: it is our policy to combine shipments if the same address is provided for multiple orders on the same day. In this case, the more expensive shipping method will be used for the combined shipment. If you do not want your orders to be combined, you must email us before placing the order, as shipments are combined automatically. If you require a refund for the shipping costs not used in the combined order, it is your responsibility to contact us and request this.

UK Shipping

Shipments from the UK office are sent either with TNT of FedEx depending on where the destination is and the size of the parcel. Smaller shipments are generally FedEx and freight is handled by FedEx. 

USA Shipping (North and South America)

International Shipping

The shipping information we provide is a guideline only and has been provided to us by each courier.

FedEx

We send all the items under 70 kg via FedEx Ground or Express International. Delivery times depend on country and region. Please get in contact to find out a specific timeframe. Shipping times to Canada and Central/South America are approximately 7-10 days.

Freight

All heavy machines (anything above 50 kg) are shipped using FedEx Freight. 

Taiwan Shipping

All items under 70 kg are sent via DHL. Larger machiens are sent with either DHL or a third-party freight broker, depending on who is able to provide thebest service to the destination. Delivery times depend on region. Please get in contact to find out a specific timeframe.

Non-Refundable Deposit (NRD)

Many of our items require a non-refundable deposit (NRD) to be able to place an order, usually while they are in the process of production. The deposit is required as machines are often built to order, and will have a number of custom parts (including the tooling) that cannot be sold in the event that you no longer want or require the machine.

The NRD amount is 30% for all tablet presses, mixers, capsule fillers, generic tooling, and custom Firmapress orders. We will often ask for a 50% deposit to start the order but in the event that it is canceled we will only return 20% to you.

In the case of custom tooling, the NRD is 100%. Tooling that is specifically made for you with logos, images, lettering, or numbering is impossible to sell to anyone else.

24-hour grace period: If you disagree with the terms of this agreement, then you may cancel your order without penalty if it is within 24 hours of placing it. The NRD will be refunded in full within 1-2 business days. If rewards points were applied to the order, they will be returned to the account automatically.

NRDs cannot be transferred if your order is canceled, for any reason.

NRDs cannot be reinstated and used for a different order.

NRDs may be refunded upon cancellation only in the rare case that the item’s delivery date has been delayed by more than 180 days from the original estimated arrival date. Collectors would need to contact us directly to cancel their order and request for their NRD to be refunded.

Returns and Cancellation Policy

LFA aims to give 100% satisfaction to all of our customers. We do know, however, that there may be occasions when you wish to return an item. If for any reason, you are unhappy with an item you have received, you may return it within 14 days, unopened and in its original condition, to our address. Upon receipt, we will be happy to give you a refund or store credit for the item as long as the item has been unopened, unused, and falls within the 14-day return period. Alternatively, you may wish to exchange it for another item of equal or lesser value. Please note that post and packing costs are non-refundable. To return an item, please dispatch it in its original wrapping and accompanied by a note outlining your name, address, and reason for return to:

If you do decide that you would like to return your item you will be required to pay the cost of shipping it back to our nearest office. We are more than happy to help with finding the cheapest rates. Just get in contact with our team.

The day that we receive your item back at one of our locations it will be checked by a member of our team. The refund can happen in a number of ways. If you have paid through our website, or through a credit card portal, we will refund you through the web processing system. This process will take 5 - 10 business days before you see the funds returned to your account, and there will be a 3% restocking fee. If you have paid by bank wire we will wire the money back to you, this process can take up to 30 days. Please make sure that you contact us with your bank details if this is how you would like to be refunded. This way there will be no delays in the process.

Any purchase of a powder excipient cannot be returned for a refund due to food safety protocol. If you have questions about this, please reach out to our Support Team

Purchasing Spare Parts

When ordering spare parts for a machine, please ensure that your machine is from LFA, and you are ordering parts for the correct version of the machine. If parts are ordered for a machine that is not from LFA, or if you order the wrong version, this will be a non-refundable purchase.

Purchasing Ex-Display or Refurbished Machines

Please note, ex-display or refurbished machines do not come with a warranty unless specified at the time of purchase, and they are not able to be returned.

Storage Fees

In the event that a machine is returned to LFA Machines for repair, storage fees can occur after 30 days of the machine repair being complete. An LFA Machines Technician will reach out to the party member(s) responsible for the machine to set up a shipment back to the user. If LFA Machines are unable to reach said person(s), or if the responsible party declines to have the machine returned to them, storage fees will begin after 30 days.

The storage fees will be charged as the following:

  • Machines which take up more than 16ft2 - $20 / £14.8 / €17.7 per day
  • Machines which take up more than 6ft2 or less than 16ft2 - $10 / £7.4 / €8.9 per day
  • Machines which take up 6ft2 or less - $5 / £3.7 / €4.5 per day

Once these daily charges reach the value or greater of the machine, LFA Machines will void any returns or refunds to the responsible party and keep the machine for resale.

 

Orders going to Europe are dispatched from the UK and it is the customer's responsibility to clear customs.
